Sierra Sheet & Plate, established in 2019, is a top tier supplier of quality titanium sheet and plate products serving the aerospace, medical, and industrial markets. The Covington, Georgia plant began life rolling molybdenum for the consumer electronics industry; in 2019 it was acquired by Tinicum and combined with Sierra Alloys and TSI Titanium to form STS Metals.
Recognized for providing a turn-key solution under one roof, SSP runs over 100,000 square feet of manufacturing anchored by a fully integrated rolling mill capable of producing industry leading titanium plate and sheet. Everything happens in-house: roll, shear, condition, water-jet, cut, heat treat, polish, pickle/chem-mill and finish. That integration, with minimal set-up time between jobs, is what lets SSP deliver custom sizes in smaller lot sizes while minimizing lead-times and cost overruns.
Inside the STS Metals network of 5 reliable companies and 7 strategic facilities, SSP is the flat products mill: more than $15,000,000 invested since the acquisition, and applications ranging from fracture critical to surgical implants. Sierra Sheet & Plate continually meets and exceeds customer expectations, specifically in the areas of Quality Material and On Time Delivery.

In-house, under one roof
One mill, every step
A turn-key solution under one roof: a fully integrated rolling mill with every downstream process in-house, so material never leaves the building between ingot and finished flat product.
Fully integrated rolling mill
Flat rolled products in standard and custom sizes, ranging from gauges of .032" to 4.00" and widths up to 40".
Continuous roller hearth furnace
Nadcap certified for aerospace heat treating, giving in-house control of thermal treatment, priority scheduling, and operating efficiency.
Band saws and shearing
A wide range of band saws and shearing equipment for both sheet and plate to minimize yield loss.
Surface and etch
Abrasive, blast, and environmentally safe chemical etching equipment meets stringent customer requirements for dimensions and surface quality.
Full processing chain
Hot leveling, water-jetting, polishing, pickling, chemical milling, and sheet grinding complete the line, from rolled slab to finished, inspected product.
