Forged without compromise

Sierra Alloys is the premier single-source manufacturer of titanium, stainless-steel, and nickel forged and rolled products, delivering high-quality specialty metals built for performance. Founded in 1974 to serve the titanium bar and plate market, the company built its name on one promise: custom sizes in custom lots. We make the exact size the customer project calls for, and in the exact lot quantities required, no more, no less.

The work happens across nearly 114,000 square feet in Irwindale, California, where forging, rolling, heat treating, cutting, turning, milling, and conditioning of specialty metals all run under one roof. Minimal set-up time between jobs gives Sierra Alloys operational flexibility and the most reliable delivery performance in the industry, with 7 to 14 week lead times that are the industry's best.

Inside STS Metals, Sierra Alloys sits at the center of the group's six-company, eight-facility network. We are qualified to supply material for applications ranging from fracture critical Ti 10V-2Fe-3Al to materials used in surgical implants and everything in between, with approvals from Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Collins, and Lockheed Martin. In 2024 the parent company acquired Valley Forge and integrated it into Sierra Alloys' operations, and the company now runs two California locations, Irwindale and Azusa.

Advanced furnace systems run Nadcap-certified aerospace heat treating entirely in house.

Extensive cutting

Auto-indexing band saws with capacities to 42 inches, plus large-capacity plate saws for plates, slabs, and forging products.

Finishing and conditioning

Bar straightening, lathe turning, grinding, and milling bring product to final condition without leaving the plant.
